In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, ECSSEN Career School, a registered non-profit charity based in Calgary, will be recruiting volunteers to operate a hotline phone service for the Chinese community. The hotline will primarily provide emotional support & resource referral to callers, with the vision of overall bettering the mental health of our local Chinese communities.

The hotline are operated by volunteers that can take on the following two positions, with responsibilities & qualifications outlined below:

1. Hotline listeners volunteer: Mainly will be taking calls on the hotline (Time commitment: a minimum 2-hour shift per week)
- Must be empathetic, and have excellent communication skills

2. Hotline supervisor volunteer: Supervisors are higher level volunteers, they will be responsible for:
- Helping train volunteer listeners (listen in during calls) and remain on-call for the duration of the volunteer shifts.
- May be expected to take calls if we are lacking listeners at the moment to staff the shifts. (Time commitment: a minimal 4-hours per week, each shift 2 hours long, can be scheduled together)
- MUST have previous experience or background in counselling, social work, psychology, crisis/distress line listening, or other relevant fields

- 热线义工必须善解人意，并具备出色的沟通能力

2.热线领班：为更高一级的义工，将负责帮助培训热线接听义工（指导热线接听义工接听并回应)
），并在热线接听义工轮班期间保持待命状态。如果热线义工短缺，他们也需要接听电话 （时间承诺：每周至少轮班4小时）
- 热线领班必须具有咨询、社会工作、心理学，或危机/情感热线聆听或其他相关领域的经验或背景
