Name that Suwannee River Bass!
Suwannee Riverkeeper has been granted reproduction rights by artist Hank Hershey on this stellar Suwannee River Bass graphic, to help support the mission of WWALS, the organization that supports, promotes and advocates for swimmable, fishable, and drinkable water in the Suwannee River Basin.
This iconic fish is our mascot, and as with any good mascot, needs a name! As the fish swims, leaps and bounds, and may be spotted during any WWALS paddle, a name is needed to recognize and call out to this beautiful animal that represents the mission of WWALS.
So what do you think? We would love to have your ideas on where else we could find this fish—maybe on a coffee mug, poster, T-shirt, ballcap, or bumper sticker, to show your support for WWALS and the beautiful rivers within the river(s) watersheds.
So here’s the plan: From June 2, 2022, to July 2, 2022, WWALS is looking for your idea on a name for the Suwannee Bass mascot.
We are requesting a voluntary donation of $2.00 per entry. We offer bragging rights for the winning name, including we will introduce you at the 2022 Suwannee Riverkeeper Songwriting Contest to be held August 20, 2022.
