What is Food Assist?

We are a community group that fights both food waste and hunger in the Charlottesville community. We recover food that would otherwise go to waste and transport it to those in need at The Salvation Army, The Haven, & the UVA Community Food Pantry. Feel free to check out our website here!

Why should I get involved?

It's the most impactful way to spend an hour of your time. You fight food waste and food insecurity while getting to know your Charlottesville neighbors!
