In 2017, the Organization for Autism Research (OAR) launched Hire Autism*, its employment initiative focused on helping individuals on the spectrum find jobs. OAR seeks to expand its work in the employment realm by developing an online resource center for individuals on the spectrum, parents, employers, and job coaches/educators.

This survey is intended to gather information from individuals on the spectrum who are seeking/have sought employment and their parents. Self-advocates/Individuals with Autism, please answer the questions openly and honestly. Parents, the survey will be broken into two sections for you: 1) questions about resources for your loved one - please consider their perspective when responding, and 2) questions about resources for parents to support their loved one.

Your input is extremely important and will help us identify critical topics and elements that need to be addressed through our resources which will be distributed/shared over the web. Please note: Hire Autism is currently exploring resources and potential content for the employment resource center. The ideas mentioned in this document may/may not be featured on the center.
