2022 Volunteer Fire Assistance (VFA) Grant Application.
This grant application is for a Volunteer Fire Assistance (VFA) grant through the Maryland Department of Natural Resources - Forest Service, which is intended to provide financial assistance to Volunteer Fire Departments for the sole purpose of improving their ability to suppress Wildfires.  This is a 50/50 Cost Share Grant with a maximum of $6,000 for the project and $3,000 for reimbursement.  Grant applications are due July 15, 2022.  Successful applications will be awarded by September 15, 2022.  If you are awarded a grant, expenditures would need to be completed by December 31, 2022.  Supporting documentation and a signed memorandum of Understanding would then need to be submitted by January 16, 2023.
