Unofficial, Unsanctioned New Zealand E-Cyclocross National Championships 2020
With no CX national championships on the line for either Australia or New Zealand in 2020, why not run one ourselves?

That's why we'll be running some extremely unofficial CX National Championships on Zwift later this month. Taking on 3 laps on the dirt roads of the Jungle Circuit, it's about as close to CX as you can get online.

Setting up a race on Zwift is famously difficult (especially for a one-off event), so we'll be running these events as group rides - the difference being that you might actually win something for finishing this group ride first!

Course: Zwift Jungle Circuit (3 laps)
Distance: 29.4km
Elevation: 250m

Date and time:
New Zealand Women's Championship: Saturday August 22nd, 4pm NZST
New Zealand Men's National Championship: Saturday August 22nd, 4pm NZST

Anti-cheating measures: Not many - we won't make you tell us your weight or calibrate your trainer before hitting the start line - as long as you're a human riding one of the game's CX or gravel bikes (the Zwift Gravel, Canyon Inflite, Canyon Grail or Cervélo Aspero), you're cool to start.

Prizes: We'll send you an e-trophy and e-jersey to print out. Maybe. If we remember.

P.S. If you think an unsanctioned e-cyclocross national championship with no prize money is something worth cheating for, maybe have a look at yourself in the mirror before you sign up.
