Description: PsychoSocial is happy to introduce Reclaiming Wellness: A MeetUp for Mental Health Professionals of Color. This is an inclusive group for all mental health professionals who identify as a person of color either BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color) and LGBTQ+ are welcomed to join the MeetUps. We are re-defining mental health professionals as the following: psychotherapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, Associates, students in a mental health master’s program, case managers, wellness practitioners, traditional healers, wellness coaches, mental health advocates.  

Vision: We want to create safe and brave spaces for us as mental health and wellness practitioners of color to start a national movement, to explore, re-define and reclaim our wellness however that may look like individually and collectively. We want to honor, validate and make space for the many medicines and ancestral wisdom we hold, and bring forth change to better the systems we navigate as mental health professionals of color.

Intention: We will organize monthly MeetUps for mental professionals of color to come together to engage in indoor/outdoor social events, network, and we will create space for personal and professional development. We want to provide the opportunities for you to share your knowledge and facilitate workshops,  trainings, and speaking engagements. Our intention is to build community, learn from one another and have fun in the process.
