Thank you for being interested in volunteering with OnyxAmplify

OnyxAmplify is Onyx's signature mentorship program that is focused on pairing Black high schoolers with students from Black UT to assist with the college admissions journey. OnyxAmplify is comprised of two parts: Workshop Sessions + Office Hours Sessions

Sessions are Tuesdays at 6:00PM and Thursdays at 7:30PM

Workshops are Tuesday @6pm provide high schoolers with important information regarding college-centered topics, like FAFSA, LORS, SAT/ACT, and more.

Office hours are Thursdays @7:30pm. Students will be sent to breakout rooms to receive one-on-one help from a current UT student on various college application materials, like admissions essays, college planning, resumes, scholarship essays, short answers, etc.

Our goal is to provide the Black students looking to apply to UT (and college in general) some assistance from students who recently went through the same process.

These events will be virtual via Zoom, 1-2x a week
