Get Lit Classic Slam Volunteer Form 2024
Dear Supporters!

We are officially in Classic Slam season and are proud to announce that we will be returning to Los Angeles Theatre Company in Downtown, Los Angeles for quarterfinals and semifinals on April 18th.

Finals will be held at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre on April 20th!

We are asking all beloved supporters, community members, artists, donors, alumni, distant admirers, teachers, administrators, and past volunteers to help us with student arrival, check-in, ushering, lunch service, and judging!

The volunteer slots will be approximately from 9:00am - 12:00pm PT and 12:30pm - 4:00pm on both Thursday and Saturday. Please indicate which slot you are available for, and you are welcome to sign up for both!

Roles will be assigned prior to the Slam. If you are assigned as a judge, an initial training will be held on 3/28 at the Get Lit Office in Koreatown from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.

No poetry experience necessary. If you think you're not qualified, that means you're the most qualified -- Slam started this way, pulling people off the street to listen to poems, not for technical notes, but to see what *moved* them.

Thank you,
The Get Lit Team
