PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
• Students rank their top 5 shows in order of preference. You MUST select a minimum of five (5) show preferences. Failure to provide 5 show options will not grant you priority to your desired shows. Adult students, please duplicate your third choice on your fourth and fifth Show Preferences, as we are offering adult students a total of three (3) shows this season.
• Show Preferences: Student preference is only one of many considerations in the placement process, and students are not guaranteed placement in their top preferences. Casting is ultimately decided by School of Rock Seattle in order to place students on the best shows suited for their individual educational needs. Placements and casting will also be chosen in a manner to evenly balance students by instrument.
• Commitment: It is imperative that you do everything in your power to be present at your weekly rehearsals. You are part of a team and that means practicing your parts, attending lessons/rehearsals consistently, and showing up ready to perform.
•
Show Fees: Make sure to read and review essential information about
our required Show Fees before signing up. Shows fees ($145) are applied per student, per season.
HOW IT WORKS:
1. You and your instructor talk about the show choices in detail. Your instructor will recommend shows to you based on your skill level and interests - listen to them! You are not required to follow their recommendation, but they know you and your learning process best, and they want to see you succeed!
2. Submit this sign-up form by May 18, 2025. So long as you meet this priority deadline, you will be included in our first round of casting. We place students based on educational purpose, rather than first-come, first-served.
3. We notify you of your show placement by May 28, 2025. We encourage all students to embrace their show placement with an open mind and prepare for a great time in rehearsals!
4. If your current lesson time ends up conflicting with the show you are placed on, our team will help you reschedule your lessons. We cannot guarantee that your current instructor will be available at another time, but we will do our best to pair you together again (however, all of our teachers are awesome should you need to switch!).
5. If all slots on your primary instrument are full on your desired show(s), our team will reach out with alternative available show/instrument options. We can also add you to a waitlist for any given show and update you with any opportunities to join in.
