Student Career Readiness & Faculty Professional Growth: August 24, 2022 Faculty Development Day Call for Session Proposals
This fall, we anticipate returning to Faculty Development Day at least partially in person with many long-awaited reunions as part of our time together.

Our next Faculty Development Day will take place both in person and virtually on Thursday, August 24, 2022.

The theme for this fall's Faculty Development Day is "Career Readiness & Faculty Professional Growth." As students are increasingly asking for transparent connections between their academic work and future careers, and as faculty are reflecting on their professional capacities towards a post-pandemic future, it is a fertile time for us to share practical approaches to career development in conversation with teaching and learning.

We are pleased to invite proposals for workshops or panel presentations that address this theme, with particular interest in interactive workshops and active demonstrations of knowledge and skills faculty can use across  modalities and disciplines as we build towards a student-centered college grounded in our values of diversity, equity, integrity, justice, learning & scholarship, and respect.

We are particularly interested in proposals that include student voices and practices that can be readily adapted across modalities and disciplines.

Breakout Session Tracks:

1. Building the NACE Competencies into Course  and Assignment Design
2. Connecting Professional and Academic Skills for Our Working Students
3. Enhancing and Improving Experiential, Project-Based, and Problem-Based Learning
4. Developing Faculty Leadership within and beyond Departments
5. Cultivating Collaborative Scholarship through Partnerships and Networks

Please submit your proposal by responding to the questions below. We will discuss the in person and virtual options with presenters when we finalize the agenda.
