Solutions Visual Journalism Initiative - Application
The World Press Photo Foundation's Solutions Visual Journalism Initiative wants to commission a small number of new, high-quality visual stories with a solutions focus.

A solutions focus changes the frame of a story. Solutions visual journalism is image-led rigorous reporting on a response to a problem, and we have outlined its features here: https://www.worldpressphoto.org/programs/develop/solutions-visual-journalism-resources/38797. The viability of the proposed project and fit with the five features of solutions journalism will be the criteria against which applications will be judged.

Please answer the questions below, and send us examples of your visual work, either via links to online sites, or as a small portfolio via WeTransfer to David Campbell, Director of Programs and Outreach, at david@worldpressphoto.org, with 'SVJI Application' in the WeTransfer subject heading.

The deadline for applications is Friday 6 September 2019.

We will then select a shortlist and arrange online interviews with applicants on the shortlist before announcing the stories that have been commissioned.

PLEASE NOTE: Answers are limited to 1000 characters in length. To complete this application we recommend you draft your answers in a separate document and then copy and paste them into this form. This form will not save a draft and you can only submit the form once.
