Summer Term (April 2024 - July 2024) Creative Maths & Science Enrichment online clubs - Expression of Interest & Clubs Timetable
Hello mums & dads,

Welcome to Maths Explorers!  

If you would like to hear more about our online maths enrichment clubs please pop your details in the form below.  We host clubs suitable for School Years 1-11 (Ages 5-16yrs). Most of our clubs are £12/child/club.  All new children are welcome to a paid trial (£12).

All suggested age ranges are approximate. You will find approximate age ranges given below for each group.  However, please note that we are not 'strict' about age groupings, the most suitable group may well be one 'younger' or 'older' than your child's age.  Much will depend on their experience and journey with maths so far.  We recommend you choose a club loosely based on your child's age to start with, if it doesn't quite seem the right fit, you would always be welcome to trial a club in a younger or older group again. 

Please tick which club you might be interested in trying out below.  Please fill in one form per child.  I'm sorry but this form cannot be saved, and you will need to complete it in 'one sitting'.   

Clubs open week commencing 15th April 2024 and end in the week commencing 8th July (with a 2 week break for half-term during week commencing 27th of May & 3rd of June).  New children can join for a paid trial in any week of the clubs, depending on availability and payment is adjusted for the week you start clubs in.

If you are looking for 1 to 1 maths enrichment classes to help spark up mathematical curiosity in an Explorer who maybe highly maths anxious or resistant, please contact us directly for costs & availability.

Maths Explorers Clubs  Please tick which one you would like to trial.  Maths clubs are structured around live group discussions and Q&A followed by some quieter time, where each Explorer can investigate their challenge on their own whiteboards.
Science Explorers Clubs  Please tick which one you would like to trial  

Each science club presents & explores off-curriculum science enrichment topics and the club is Ideal for young people who are curious about current developments in the scientific world but might be bored by the traditional curriculum representations of science.
A sample of this term's topics included India's Moon Landing & the nature of the Moon, Latest discoveries to do with the Y chromosome, Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (formerly UFOs), Rewilding - what is it and do we want it?, Deep Oceans, and the Nobel Prizes for Chemistry & Physics which were awarded in Autumn.  Clubs are structured around live discussion and Q&A from Explorers.

Do you live in the Mitcham, south London or in a Clarion Housing home in any UK borough?  If so, you may be eligible for a funded place with us.  Please let us know here if you think this criteria could apply to you and we will be in touch directly for more information.  
Please tell us  a little bit about your child's journey or relationship with maths and/ or science till date.  For example, do they seem to enjoy curriculum/ school maths and/ or science?   Or do they seem to enjoy problem-solving and thinking logically but don't enjoy 'school' or workbook maths?   Where have you noticed their latent mathematical curiosity?   Are they 'bored' by curriculum science? If they are home-ed, what kind of approach to maths and/ or science have they connected with the most?

Is there anything you would like to share about your child that you think may be helpful for us to be aware of? This could be anything you feel is relevant e.g. special needs, prior experience with remote learning environments. If so, please write it in here
