Volunteer Sign Up-Communal Healing for BIPOC Health Workers/Healers

Join us on a transformative journey! 

You are invited to delve intimately into the shared healing journey for Black, Indigenous and other People of Color (BIPOC) healthcare workers in San Francisco, CA. Together, let's uplift the emotions and experiences of our Black and Indigenous colleagues, especially those from the queer and immigrant communities, through a deeply cultural and expressive arts connection.

Dr. Uzo Nwankpa DNP, MSN-PH, RN is seeking 8-10 passionate health professions students/ community health workers & 2 faculty members to partake in an empowering experience.
Live sessions will begin first week in October and ends the first week in December. 

Session Details:
There are multiple opportunities to engage in this work in person and virtually. 

Two Monday evenings in October (in-person) Oakland Campus
Six Tuesday evenings (4pm-7pm) Fruitvale District. 
Multiple online expressive arts sessions.    
Eight check-ins on Tuesdays (online)
         
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assessment: Help gauge the need and impact of our sessions.
Outreach: Connect with potential participants, guest artists, and community leaders.
Marketing: Promote our sessions through various channels, maximizing visibility and participation.
Program Development: Shape the content, flow, and format of the sessions.
Implementation: Ensure smooth execution, from tech setups to managing resources.
Evaluation: Gather feedback, analyze data, and recommend improvements.
Dissemination: Share our findings, stories, and successes with wider audiences.

Note: While you don’t need to be involved in all sessions, your input in and support in two or more of these areas is invaluable.
