Forest Hill Farmers: Learning Garden & Composting
We have applied for a grant with the Germantown Education Foundation.  The grant would be used to install an outdoor learning garden/classroom area located between the lake and District Office.  We would also use the funds to establish a composting operation which would turn fruit and vegetable scraps into nutrient-rich soil amendments for the garden area.  The garden area would have a number of raised beds for planting, and other crops would be planted directly in the ground.  Ideally, we would have a large sundial as the focal point with a classroom gathering area inside the fenced-in garden area.

Please complete this survey to let us know how this addition to our school would benefit your students' learning, and/or our Germantown community. Also, since being a new school on a strict budget, we are looking for feedback on how the community would be willing to help. We appreciate your participation! - Jon House & Kaitlin Sullivan (FHES teachers)
