Hello! We're excited to welcome you to our community of volunteers!

The social calling program created by the SDSU Center for Excellence in Aging & Longevity (CEAL) team & Determined Health aims to build social connections, and improve the health and well-being of our community. Community members from Meals on Wheels are matched with volunteers based on personal interests and will receive regular phone calls, typically about 1-2 calls per week, for a minimum of three months. Unlike other calls focused on medical history, social work intake, counseling, or other clinical needs, these calls are purely social and primarily focused on providing a fun and uplifting experience. 

As volunteers of CEAL and Meals on Wheels, participants are required to complete a $10 live scan This link will provide you with the live scan form and the payment portal as well as a list of acceptable locations to submit the live scan:
