Kinetic Fire Ambassador Application
The Kinetic Fire Ambassador program returns for 2023! An ideal Kinetic Fire Ambassador is someone who wants to dive into the community on a fundamental level, working closely within a department of the event in an impactful way.

Kinetic Ambassadors receive either free or discounted admission to Kinetic Fire, in exchange for a 6 hour or 12-15 hour commitment to help out before, during, and/or after the event. Different roles will have different requirements and opportunities.

This year's event is from Thursday, May 18 - Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Hannon's Camp America at 8501 Camden-College Corner Rd, College Corner, Ohio.

Ambassador applications are due by January 18, 2023.

Full Ambassador shifts (12-15 hour commitment, free admission to Kinetic Fire)
*All Full Ambassadors will be required to work at least one late night shift as a part of their ticket exchange*

Gate - Be the first interaction that attendees have as they arrive to Kinetic Fire! Welcome them, share info, and set the tone for an amazing weekend. There are a variety of opportunities with Gate, including welcome team, and pre-event setup. (More Gate opportunities below)

Volunteer - Volunteers are the lifeblood of Kinetic! The Volunteer Ambassador would help check volunteers in and out for their shifts and assist those looking to sign up. Bonus: you are one of the keepers of the snacks.

Fire Circle/Fuel Depot - Keep the fires burning all night long! Fuel Depot and Fire Circle Ambassadors oversee the logistics and safety of fueling props, tending fire pits, and covering safety shifts. Ambassadors will also be involved in coordinating the community self-serve late night fueling after the programmed fire circle hours are complete.

First Aid - First Aid should be prepared to help with minor injuries and burns. They assist and give guidance for non-emergency situations and oversee First Aid volunteers. First Aid Ambassadors should have, at minimum, First Aid certification.

Guardian - Inspired by the rangers of Black Rock City, Kinetic Fire's Guardians will walk the grounds as friends and mediators. Responsibilities include; Providing outreach and education to first time attendees, helping disoriented attendees, providing an open ear, and facilitating peaceful problem solving/mediation in the event of conflict (without telling people what to do)

EMT - EMT Ambassadors are trained medical specialists who are on call to respond to emergencies if they arise. EMT certification is required.

Part-time Ambassador shifts (4-6 hour commitment, $100 price admission)

All the above, plus:

DPW - DPW is in charge of making sure we leave the grounds clean and MOOP free. This is a Sunday-only job.

Late Night Gate - These are chill nighttime shifts, after entry is done for the day.
