Public Event Hire Form

This form is for the hire of Bonjour as a public event space. Please use this form if you wish to enquire about hiring the venue for: club nights, performance events, fundraisers, talks, gigs and anything else you wish to run at Bonjour (we are open to all event possibilities). Please read the information below before submitting your form:

Booking Availability
  • We offer hire of either the Lounge Space or the entire venue for public events during the following hours:
  • MONDAY - SUNDAY: 8am - 3am*
  • *Excluding Wednesdays (when we are closed to the public) and between the hours of 7pm-11:30pm on Thursdays (when we host our in-house karaoke <3).
  • Our availability for hire is changeable inline with our programming and events schedule. We will confirm availability with you as soon as possible, following receipt of your form. Please provide alternative dates should these be an option for you.
  • When hiring the lounge during opening hours (available here) the bar area is accessible to the public. The bar and lounge spaces are separate and divided by a set of double doors. We can also separate the music/audio output for the two spaces so that sound from the lounge is not played in the bar (and vice versa). 
Payment and Fees
  • Bonjour aims to operate all of its events and booking fees on a sliding-scale, based on the needs of and barriers faced by the individuals and groups it serves. Hire fees are therefore calculated on a case by case basis. We ask that larger organisations and individuals/groups with disposable income who wish to support Bonjour as a Queer workers' co-operative and community space are transparent about this in detailing their budget.

  • As a rough guideline, we often charge £100-£300 for hire of the venue for a club night (11pm-3am).
  • We ask that you staff the box office and cloakroom yourself. We provide a cash-float, use of a zettle device (but you must have your own zettle account log-in), coat rails/hangers/tickets/wristbands.
Facilities & Specs
  • We are licensed for alcohol sales between 7pm and 3am. However we are also available for daytime hire and can serve soft drinks, teas and coffees prior to 7pm. We have a coffee machine!
  • Our capacity is dependent on the nature of your event. Our capacity for a busy club environment is 127 and for a seated event in the lounge is between 30-70 (depending on how comfortable you want people to be). Please do not assume capacity until it has been confirmed by Bonjour staff.
  • We have technical capacity to play music from an aux cable as well as for DJing (2 x CDJs and a mixer). We also have a projector which can be used for karaoke or displaying visuals and 3 x microphones (one corded, two cordless). Please inform us if you wish to use any of this equipment.
  • We also have capacity to set-up for live musics gigs and alternative music/lighting setups. Please speak to us about your requirements for this and we can tell you what is possible.
