President's Challenge Scholarship (PCS) Application for Saugerties Central School District 2024
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors from our local community and beyond, the President's Challenge Scholarship (PCS) assists students who will be the first in their family to earn a college degree. Students apply in eighth grade and, if selected, receive mentoring and college readiness skills throughout high school. Students participate in activities at their school district and at SUNY Ulster each school year. Upon graduation, students are able to attend SUNY Ulster tuition-free for two years!

PROGRAM CRITERIA:
To apply, students must be in eighth grade and be first-generation college students with an 80% cumulative GPA (75% in their core courses - English, math, science, and social studies) and have an 85% or better attendance record in school with minimal discipline infractions or a strong recommendation from a teacher or school administrator. Preference is given to students with economic need.
