Example of a strong GPR pitch:

[Working Title] World Series Champions...of Cultural Appropriation?

Upon the Atlanta Braves' victory at the 2021 World Series, debates across the nation resurged about the appropriation of Native American culture in sports. Teams like the former Washington Redskins have changed their team name to rid all references to Native American culture, now becoming the Commanders after a few years as just the Washington Football Team. Others, like the Kansas City Chiefs, have made efforts to remove their Native American mascots without changing their team name. I want to analyze Native American sentiments toward the Braves, the "Tomahawk Chop" and the remaining imagery they use that references the culture. Do these groups themselves find it offensive or is it "white saviors" that are speaking for them? How do everyday citizens of Atlanta feel about the Braves? There are lots of native Atlantans at UGA to potentially survey, and I could interview a Native American studies professor to get their take on it as well.
