ABOUT JUSTICE FOR AFRICA

Justice for Africa: Don't Cut Our Future is a youth- and student-led global campaign demanding an end to the huge rise in the violation of African children and young people’s rights since 2015. Launched in partnership between the All-Africa Students Union, Global Students Forum and the 100 Million campaign.

Access to free, quality education is a fundamental human right, and we refuse to accept that 98 million children are out of school today in Sub-Saharan Africa

Since 2015 the global economy has grown by over $12 trillion, but in the same eight years, tens of millions of African children have been forced out of school and forced into the child labour. Modern injustices on tax, debt and discriminatory global policy-making are compounding historic injustices against Africa, and the number of people living in extreme poverty on the continent is rising.

Our first united global mobilisation was held on the World Day of Social Justice, 20th February 2023 and our second on the 20th October 2023, marking Africa Human Rights Day

So far young people and students from the following countries have taken action to demand Justice for Africa: Belgium, Brazil, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Canada, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Finland, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, India, Indonesia, Italy, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Mauritius, Malawi, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Romania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, Spain, Switzerland, Tanzania, Trinidad & Tobago, Uganda, United Kingdom, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
