We are excited that you will be joining our Pirate family next year as our rising 6th grade class! In middle school, students will begin to have options as to what elective courses they will have. Please fill out this Google Form to indicate what your interests are for elective courses. With this in mind, here's some scheduling information we hope will be helpful:

* FBMS has six (6) periods per day
* Advanced courses are offered in ELA, math, and science; students are placed into advanced courses based on a conglomeration of information, including but not limited to: grades, STAR and iReady progress monitoring data, test history, teacher recommendation, and work ethic
*Students not meeting grade-level expectations in math will be placed in an intensive math class for one semester
* An example of the typical 6th grade schedule is as follows:
   1. ELA (all year)
   2. Math (all year)
   3. Reading (all year)
   4. Science (all year)
   5. Social Studies - World Geography (one semester) / Technology (one semester)
   6. Electives

Please select which elective(s) you would like to have in your order of preference below. As you do so, please know that we cannot guarantee that you will get the elective request(s) you choose, but we will do our very best.
