Timing/Schedule:
9:30 - Meet at the shelter location.
9:45 - 11:45 - prepare the meal
11:45 - Prepare to serve
12:00 - Serve food and interact with the guests
12:30 - Clean up
The meal:
We want to make Punjabi food so that volunteers can also learn Punjabi cooking. We will make sure at least one person from the group knows how to make the dishes and can teach the others.
The standard meal is mix daal with rice. We also make simple pasta with vegetables especially for kids and for anyone who doesn't want to eat Indian food. The food should be flavorful but NOT spicy.
The food will be made for 50-100 people.

Langar Funding:
There are three options here.
1. You can choose to sponsor the langar seva. The cost is around $50-$75 total. (You can buy the groceries yourself or we can buy them on your behalf and you can Zelle us the cost.)
2. You can contribute towards the total amount. You can Zelle us your contribution.
3. You can simply sign up to volunteer only. We are grateful for our volunteers and do not want finances to be a burden for anyone. We will happily take care of the costs.
Cancellation policy: Tell us as soon as possible so that we can ensure we will still have enough volunteers to make langar.
