POTENTIAL RISKS
It is common for clients to experience the following in a Kambo ceremony: heavy breathing, increased heart rate, swelling (particularly around the face, mouth, and throat), flushed skin, raised body temperature, chills, purging, feelings of physical and emotional discomfort. The body is doing what is needed for the medicine to assist in the detoxification process.
Due to the large intake of water consumed during a Kambo treatment, the bodies electrolyte balance can be disturbed. Therefore it is important to rest, eat and drink afterwards to bring the body back into balance and allow it to restore homeostasis. This is why we strongly advise against water fasting, enemas or colonics before or immediately after Kambo.
It is uncommon for clients experience the following risks: Impaired breathing, over fast pulse rate, severe swelling, severe fits, choking, falling, inability to arouse after fainting, severe skin reaction, severe pain, bleeding, disassociation psychosis, severe vomiting that continues way beyond treatment. Any of these symptoms may require medical attention.
