Global Youth Declaration on Kindness Consultation
Welcome!

Thank for you for your interest in joining the consultation process for the draft Global Youth Declaration on Kindness to be 2nd World Youth Conference on Kindness (24 – 25 October, 2020).

The 2nd Kindness Conference organized by the UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) will gather global youth to share and learn how #KindnessMatters for achieving the SDGs and the Kindness Declaration highlights the critical role of youth.

The current draft of the Declaration also calls on Governments to create a new United Nations (UN) international Day of Kindness. This new UN Day is a very exciting development for all of the world’s youth as it will provide a global rallying point to focus all energies on demonstrating the power of empathy, compassion and kindness to achieve the SDGs.

The Global Youth Alliance for Kindness and the UNESCO MGIEP call on you to:

Aspects of the Declaration already stated that you support (if any)
Aspects of the Declaration already stated that you are against (if any)
Is there anything you'd like to add or modify?
We'd like to know which world issues that can use the concept of kindness in their solutions that are not already stated or perhaps understated you feel should be further represented in the declaration.
If you'd like to add/modify something, how can kindness make an impact on the issue?
We'd like to know what ideas you have of actions that could be taken with kindness in mind to tackle these issues. /// Example: You stated you think kindness towards the environment should be a priority above - in this section, you could state that creating environment conscience classes in your school/university could be a way to tackle it. Be as creative as you wish!
Why do you think kindness itself is important for the world?
