Chicago, is a great city and one of the most accessible by public transit. They call it "the city by the Lake," but let's be honest, it's on an inland sea. On the previous SCOB trip here, the family took a bus tour of the city, went to Navy Pier and took pictures on the Lake. If we planned another visit to Chicago, we could do things like take an architecture boat tour on the river, visit the SkyDeck of the Willis Tower, catch a Cubs game at Wrigley Field, BBQ on the beach, get world-famous Chicago-style hotdogs at Portillo's or just hang out in Millenium Park.  

New Orleans, with its unique blend of cultures, history, and vibrant atmosphere, offers an unforgettable setting for a family reunion. Known for its world-famous cuisine, from beignets to gumbo, it promises a culinary adventure for all ages. The city's rich musical heritage, epitomized by the sounds of jazz echoing through the French Quarter, provides a lively and soulful backdrop. New Orleans' diverse neighborhoods, each with its own character, offer a wealth of exploration opportunities, from the historic Garden District to the artsy Bywater. The city's calendar is packed with festivals and events, ensuring there's always something exciting happening whenever you visit. Hosting your family reunion in New Orleans means immersing yourselves in an environment where joy, history, and togetherness are intertwined.
