This is the place to list and describe the 2 art pieces you created between 2-20 years ago. Artist Metamorphosis story. *

Each artist is asked to share their own story of the path (physically; schooling, workshops, travel, etc, and/or emotionally; life events, relationships, inspirations, disciplines, etc) that has led them from where they were to where they are now creatively. This story will be printed and hung next to each ‘set’ of pieces so that audiences may appreciate the transformative journey, or at the least gain insights to the varying personal evolutions. Metamorphosis does not imply that the ‘new’ is better than the ‘before’, just that it is different.

Artwork may be for sale, though not required. Artwork and any merch sold within VISAC Gallery are a 25/75% split with the Artist, where 25% goes to VISAC and 75% going to the Artist after the show is over. How it works: if someone wishes to purchase a piece of your artwork that is for sale, VISAC will take the sale funds from the buyer and label that piece as sold. At the end of the show the Artist is notified of any sales and the buyer is able to come and collect their purchase post-show. Any 75% of sales due to artists are sent within 2 weeks of show close. This is important to consider when pricing artwork (if you are selling) to price accordingly. Do you understand and agree to these terms?

I, the Artist, agrees that I will not hold the Greater Trail Area Creative Activities Centre Society for the Visual Arts (VISAC) or any of its staff or volunteers, nor the gallery space owners/staff liable for loss or damage to the art works I am submitting and temporarily installing to the project 'Metamorphosis, group exhibition'. *

Mailing Address or email address the $405 Artist Fee may be sent to via mail or etransfer once artist/concept is approved. *

VISAC will be sending these out asap after Artist are notified of the jury decisions approved. Please indicate if mail or e-transfer is preferred. In filling out this portion of the form the Artist acknowledges that they understand and agree that if they unable to carry out the expected responsibilities of an approved artist and delivering the art pieces by the agreed upon date within their ability/power, that they must give back the $405 back to VISAC asap. This is the agreement unless otherwise mutually edited or understood.
