ECCC Event Scholarships
ECCC is committed to nurturing the professional growth and development of current and future leaders, and raises money each year to be able to offer scholarship assistance for the Camp Program Summit and the Annual Conference. Thank you for your interest in attending and applying.

We have two scholarship funds:

1 - If you identify as a member of a group that is underrepresented in Christian camping (including, but not limited to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identification, or as a non-native English speaker) you are invited to apply for an EDI Scholarship. There are three full EDI scholarships available for the Program Summit and five full scholarships available for the Annual Conference, and additional partial scholarships may be available. Applications are due by August 7, 2022 for the Program Summit and November 15, 2022 for the Annual Conference.

2 - If you or your center needs financial support in order to pursue continuing education, you are invited to apply for a Jack Anderson Leadership Development Scholarship. You may request up to $100 for the Program Summit and $250 for the Annual Conference. Please submit this application before registering for the event; you will be notified of award within one week.

About the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship Program
The EDI scholarship program was established in 2019 to support and mentor professionals from historically underrepresented demographics in Christian camping and retreat ministry. The program aims to provide these leaders with the opportunity to reach their professional goals, while advancing the cause of Episcopal camping and retreat ministry and fostering deep and authentic representation and inclusion.

We acknowledge that showing up to spaces occupied by those from primarily more dominant groups is a challenge, and can be vulnerable for marginalized or otherwise under-represented populations. Scholarship recipients will not be asked to serve as “ambassador” for any population, or an educator of others. Scholarship recipients are encouraged to focus on getting the most out of their event experience and have no special duties or obligations. All first-time attendees will have the option to be paired with a repeat attendee.

If you have any questions about the EDI scholarship program or process, please contact Ali Pepper, Interim Director of Communications: staff@episcopalccc.org or 773.377.5554 (Central time).
