Scarecrow Contest Logistics:
● The Scarecrow Contest is open to any business with a storefront in Stillwater, MN.
● Businesses must be registered with Summer Tuesday, Inc. by September 3
0th to be considered in the competition, and to be included in promotions.
● Registration is free, and your business will be included in some promotion materials. You'll have the photo of your scarecrow with a link to your business included in our Facebook 2024 Scarecrow contest album.
● Scarecrows must be on display and ready for judging by MONDAY, October 7th, at 4pm. On Tuesday, October 8th, we will come around and take a photo of the scarecrow to post on our Facebook page for the Facebook Scarecrow Contest which will have a Facebook winner determined by the public by casting their votes. We encourage your business to share on your business pages to promote your scarecrow. Your business will be tagged on the Facebook photo.
● Official judging will take place between 10am and 2pm on Saturday, October 12th, with the top three winners
announced prior to the giant pumpkin drop on Saturday, October 12th at 5:30pm.
● Award for Best in Show
● Award for Most Creative
● Award for Most Beautiful
● Scarecrows should remain on display through October 13th until at least 6pm (after this time, the business
may choose when to dismantle their scarecrow if they chose).
● We ask that Scarecrows be mostly handmade.
