Due to COVID-19, the Federal Government has approved the American Rescue Plan and Elementary & Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund. Recently the State of Texas made those allotments available to schools and we must begin the planning process of how to best utilize these funds. Spur ISD is seeking your input as we work diligently to select the best options for our students.
We are currently receiving STAAR Testing results back from the state and feel pretty good about where our students are academically but we are also seeing some areas that need to be addressed. Typically, summer results in some learning loss and the school closures from March 2019 to the end of the 2019-2020 school year added to this loss. We will be looking at the data from STAAR Testing along with stakeholder input in an effort to come up with the best plan possible.
