Background:

In March 2021, Congress passed the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, which established the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund. This fund helps local governments nationwide with COVID-19 pandemic recovery assistance. Maywood will received $6 million in federal funding as part of the American Rescue Plan Act. The funds must be used by December 31, 2024.
