Adventures in Creative Writing: A Virtual Summer Camp Power of Story Minority Student Scholarship Application

To promote diversity and to introduce all young writers to the transformative power of story, the Lafayette Writers’ Studio is offering a scholarship for a minority student writer that will cover the costs for attending Adventures in Creative Writing: A Virtual Summer Camp. The camp meets online the week of June 22-26 from 9:30 a.m. EST to 12 p.m. EST.

During camp, writers ages 10 and older will have the opportunity to explore the amazing, and fascinating world of writing.  They'll learn the elements of fiction, memoir and poetry, and then create their own poems, short stories, graphic stories or essays. In the process, writers will build friendships and discover all the powerful ways to tell a story.
