We encourage everyone to be flexible by default unless it is an issue for them. We also support queer identities and asexual/aromantic players and characters; these orientations are acknowledged in the setting. However, the default assumption for most other characters, and for the Together Forever programme itself, is that relationships are romantic and sexual, so asexual/aromantic characters will most likely need to communicate their preferences to their matches like they would in real life. If you want to play an asexual or aromantic character, please describe it in the "Other" option, including whether you still have a gender preference for your matches. We also encourage players to have their characters be open to negotiation and if they're matched with an ace / aro character rather than rejecting them out of hand.

Note: while the larp is supposed to have psychologically realistic characters and to be quite emotional, it's not intended as "misery porn". There will be no sexual abuse (or torture -- it's not that kind of dystopia!) in the character backgrounds, and any other heavy themes are opt-in. These might include: infidelity, domestic abuse, bullying, harassment, bereavement, mental or physical illness, alcohol or drug abuse, gambling addiction, religion, body image issues, eating disorder. If you list any of these or other themes here, we will not put them in your character sheet. You can also request here not to have them in any of your scripted relationships.

You're very welcome to bring your character from Together Forever, or create a new one. If you bring a returning character, we might need to retcon their story to fit the game. Here are some aspects of your character's life that will be useful to establish: profession, hobies, personality, important life events, romantic history, how their experience in the Together Forever programme was like etc., what makes them a "misfit". This will be the basis of your final character, we will just add some relationships. If you're only interested in playing a Love Coach, feel free to leave this section blank.
