All profits go towards buying eco-stoves for families in rural Guatemala. Nearly 50% of the world relies on open wood cooking which is harmful not only to the environment, but to their respiratory health. EWB Smoke-Free Homes is a student-led group that brings together young and innovative minds to implement engineered solutions to provide families in rural Guatemala with efficient and safer alternatives to cooking on open fire pits: the eco-stoves. We focus on empowering these families to foster independence and make positive environmental impacts.
