Great job! What a fantastic lesson. We started out with Matt, Damian and Nick where we learned to distinguish loving from unloving actions. We then went on to see how Jesus asks us to treat others with the Good Samaritan story. His loving actions towards the man who was hurt is a wonderful example of how we should love and help others. We also learned that Reconciliation is not only about confessing our sins. It is about much more than that, and it all begins with "love." We read how God and Jesus show their love for us and how Jesus welcomes the little children. We also learned about God's rules, the Ten Commandments, and how they are a guide for us to live a safe and happy life. And finally, we learned about a gift that God gives us that helps to guide us, and that is our "conscience." Wow! What a great start with a lot of wonderful information. But now it is time to end our lesson. But before we go, I want to make sure that we are taking something away from our lesson that we can work on all week long. Enclosed in your lesson packet is a "My Loving Deeds Chart" (see below). I want you to place the "My Loving Deeds Chart" in a place where you can see it, like the refrigerator or your bedroom door, and then put a check mark in a heart every time you do one of the loving deeds listed. Please feel free to color in your chart to make it as special as possible. What a great way to remind us of the loving actions we should be doing every day in our lives. I have also included a copy of a prayer ritual, "I Can Love," that you can share with your family and practice saying at home. Great job!!
