CAMentrepreneurs Sydney Launch  - Get involved
CAMentrepreneurs was launched in Sydney on 17th November in Airtree Ventures, when the founder Richard Lucas was visiting Australia. Tom Peach and James Stewart agreed to take the leadership role with events planned in February and May 2023

Please fill in this form if you wish to be involved.

Since its launch in 2016 CAMentrepreneurs has held more than 50 events around the world in Cambridge, Dubai, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Helsinki, Dallas, Houston, Lisbon, London, New York, Sydney (a one off), Vancouver and Warsaw.  We often join forces with Oxford Alumni groups, and co-operate with business schools, and other first tier Universities as appropriate. This is our plan for Sydney. My father taught at Merton College most of his life.

CAMentrepreneurs operates on a TED -> TEDx model, in that we only launch a group when there are people in the location who want to take the lead in getting a group off the ground and there is sufficient interest.  This event will be a test of whether there is sufficient demand in Sydney.

There are hundreds of Oxbridge Alumni in Sydney with job titles like Entrepreneur, Founder, Co-founder, Investor, CEO and Partner in their Linkedin profiles, so there is clearly potential for a group.

Our goals, purpose and values are described here

Our official group is here https://www.alumni.cam.ac.uk/group/camentrepreneurs and website https://camentrepreneurs.com, and Linkedin group here www.linkedin.com/groups/12012315 with 2300 members.
I'd be very happy to have a successful group in Sydney. My Great Great Grandfather Thomas Smart,  was deported to Australia on the Admiral Gambier in 1808 with a seven-year sentence.  His son Thomas Smart was a successful businessman in Sydney as per here. He was active in the anti-transportation movement in the 1840s,  and his house Mona, Darling Point was on more than 15 acres of land.

thanks
