French gr. 3 & 4 2020-21
Bonjour, Students and Parents!

It is my pleasure to introduce you to this year's French program... a little different from what we have known before, but moving forward with a beret and a smile, nonetheless! Normally, all 3rd and 4th graders would have 45 minutes of French instruction per week. Each homeroom teacher is assigned a day to bring their students to French class.

This year, your student will be able to choose to enroll in the French class for 3rd or 4th grade, but the courses will be asynchronous (not live on Google Meet). I do not have room in my schedule to see all classes live this year. Occasionally, I will offer invitations to synchronous, Wednesday checkins on Google Meet. Students who opt into French are encouraged to participate in the occasional Wednesday Google Meet activities.

The expectation for students is once-per-week access to new course materials (or more, if they want!). Students should expect to spend between 30-40 minutes per week on instruction and practice (sometimes a wee bit more or less).

Please complete this quick survey to let me know whether your student will enroll in French. I will follow up with an invitation to our first activities when I have everyone enrolled. I have prepared some informational materials to help you make your decision. Please watch the welcome video and complete the short survey. Merci beaucoup! ~Dr. Dorothy Goulet
