Survivor Support Group Sign-Up
Thank you for your interest in the Survivor Support Group.

For Spring 2024, the group will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 7-9 PM (starting February 6th through May 7th; the group will not meet on March 19th or April 16th due to school breaks) in Pemberton Lounge (first floor Chapin Hall - Rm 108) or on Zoom (Meeting ID 883 9150 8192 | Passcode: 437h6W).

This is a confidential drop-in group for any Amherst student who has experience sexual violence and is coordinated by the Wellbeing Educator for Sexual Respect and Residential Engagement & Wellbeing.   In order to protect the privacy and confidentiality of participants, your email will only be used for individual weekly reminder emails and will not be shared with anyone else.

Group Description: We are creating a safer space to share our stories as survivors with survivors. You are supported to explore your experiences relating to sexual violence, relationship violence, and/or incest. You'll write or create art in response to prompts that will get your story flowing. We will share our stories together each week with positive feedback. This is not an art or writing class. Our focus is not on skill, rather the act of telling our story.

This is a drop-in group, meaning you can attend one or all of the sessions and pre-sign up is not required.  If you would like to learn more and receive a weekly reminder email, complete the form by sharing your email address.  The group will be offered both in person and over Zoom.

Sponsored by Residential Engagement & Wellbeing and facilitated by Isabella Gitana of the Survivor Arts Collective. Questions or accessibility concerns?  Contact Claire Dutton at cdutton@amherst.edu or rew@amherst.edu
