2024 Volunteer Application Form
Thank you for volunteering to help us at the 2024 Womindjeka Balnarring Ngargee. After a successful event in 2023 we will be back at Emu Plains (54 Coolart Rd, Balnarring) on the 2nd March, 2024. It is shaping up to be a brilliant day. We are excited to have you join our band of willing volunteers, as it is your help that will help make this day a success.

Please complete the following details and submit the form by Friday 2nd February, 2024. We will be in touch be shortly after this to confirm your volunteer roles and times.

We have many roles that we need help with, including; Set up/Pack up, Children's Area, Bundjil's nest, Volunteers Table, Information Tent, Merchandise, Entry, Evaluations, Cultural Workshops. More roles may be required as we continue planning.

Roles and Responsibilities

Children’s Area 

Welcome families to the Children’s Area. Assist them to get started with the activity. Tidy up the area between groups, ensuring there is adequate supply of resources ready to use.

Bundjil’s Nest 

Welcome people to the area and assist them to make a message stick that can be placed in Bundjil’s Nest.

Information Tent 

Assist people with general enquiries, manage lost and found, direct people to various areas - for workshops, etc

Volunteers Table 

Meet and greet volunteers, get them to sign in, sight Working with Children checks (where appropriate) and direct them to where they are volunteering.

Entry 

Collect donations, count people arriving (clicker will be provided)

Merchandise 

Assist with the selling of the merchandise.

Evaluation 

Asking people to fill in an evaluation of their experience at the festival.

Cultural Workshop table 

Managing bookings for the workshops. Taking down people’s details and allocating tickets.

Set Up/Pack Up 

Setting up/pulling down marquees, placing/packing up signage, placing tables and chairs in positions etc

Workshops 

Welcoming participants to the workshop, introducing the presenter, ensuring people are signed up for workshop etc

Parking

Collecting money from cars as they enter the grounds. There will be another organisation instructing people on where to park.
