Everett APT Parent Volunteer Opportunities 2023-2024)

Everett Families,
We are starting to plan for the 2023-2024 school year. There are many opportunities for you to volunteer whether big or small. Please check ALL areas that are of interest to you. Your name and your contact info will be shared with the APT coordinators responsible for organizing committees. We have many positions opening. If you would like to remain in your position for another 1 or 2 years, please let us know under that section. We will be in touch with you before the school year is out. Please respond by Friday, April 7.

Please check the boxes under each role you would be willing to help with. You may select as many as you are interested in.
Bulletin Board Coordinator: In charge of decorating the APT bulletin board with monthly themes and/or APT events
Community Service Coordinators: In charge of APT's 2 food drives.  Communicate dates, organize pick up and drop offs, and organize incentives for friendly competition between grade levels.
Fine Arts/ Visiting Author Coordinators: Work with executive APT and Spirit 67 to promote and help out. Usually 3 events- Visiting Author, 4th grade Playmakers Theater, and K-3 Fractured Fairytales
Food Services Coordinator: maintain bulletin board by lunch line and help promote National Nutrition Month
Helping Hands Coordinators: In charge of our list of volunteers and reaching out to them when needed. 
Kindergarten Coordinators 2024-2025.This is a one year term starting in Feb. for Incoming Kindergarten Info night. Sets up Info Tea, play dates, and distributes signs before the start of the year.
Music Coordinators: Help set up, clean up, attend, and give flowers for our Winter and Spring Sings
New Family Coordinators: Plan play dates, info session, distribute signs and coordinate buddies at the beginning of the year. Welcome and pair up buddies for any new family that enters throughout the year.
Room Parent Coordinators: Meet with Room Parents to present timelines and expectations. Organize Grade level Parent socials. Pass along APT info throughout the year.
Special Events Coordinators: Plan, secure vendors, volunteers and execute our Fall Family Picnic, Boo Bash, Coco and Carols, and Glow Dance.
Spirit wear Coordinators: Work with Kiddles to plan purchases, delivery, and distribution of Everett Spirit wear at the start of the school year.
SEL Social Emotional Learning Coordinators: This position is constantly changing. Work with Renee on ideas. Help with "Spread the Love" campaign. 
Staff Appreciation Coordinators: Plan, set up, and clean up staff meals for Back to school, Parent info night, parent-teacher conferences, and cookie walk.
Plan Staff Appreciation Week in May. 
Visiting Scientist Coordinator: Work with the Executive APT and the Spirit 67. Greet the Visiting Scientist
Yearbook Coordinators: Manage the roles of the grade level photographers. Assign events to photographers. Give expectations and timelines for yearbook photographers. Work with yearbook company for School picture day and make ups. Work with yearbook company to arrange, submit, and distribute yearbooks. Spirit 67 Liaison: Work directly with the Spirit. We will pass your name onto the Spirit. 
Room Parent: Help the teacher coordinate volunteers and facilitate communication throughout the year. (Please note that room parents do not have to be at all classroom events). Room Parents will be selected after class lists are released in Aug. Additional details will be provided at RP orientation meeting in Sept. 
Host a Grade Level Parent Social: These are done within the first few month of the school year. Use of your home, attendees will bring dishes and drinks potluck style or feel free to host however. RP coordinators will take care of evites and nametags. 
Buddy: This is for your student/s. They will serve as a buddy to a new student to the area and help them feel at home at Everett. The New Family Committee will match based on age. This role is needed for the start of school and throughout the year.
Helping Hands Helper:  Volunteer as an "as needed basis". Your name will be put on our Helping Hands list and you will be given the opportunity to volunteer first before opening it up to the school community. 
4th Grade Celebration Coordinators: work with the 4th grade teachers, gather volunteers and place signs. These will be notified in the Spring 2024
Yearbook Photographer: work with Coordinators to photograph specific events and grade levels. Work on yearbook pages. Meet expectations and timelines for yearbook pages.
