OpEd Project "Write to Change the World" Workshop Application
The OpEd Project, a New York-based think tank and leadership organization, will offer a one-day workshop at UC San Diego for a small group of faculty (faculty ONLY) on June 18th (9 a.m.-5 p.m.). The workshop will explore:
-The sources of credibility
-When and why people change their minds
-How to present ideas quickly and powerfully under pressure
-Strategies for greater impact.
Participants will emerge with concrete results, including a draft of an opinion piece.
If you are interested in attending, please submit this application by June 10 to let us know: 1) more about your goals and 2) your idea for an opinion piece that you hope to develop in the workshop.
This workshop is hosted by the Research Communications Program and is supported in part by an Innovation Grant from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. PLEASE NOTE: THIS WORKSHOP CURRENTLY HAS A WAITLIST, BUT WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO APPLY IF INTERESTED. It is very likely that slots will open as we get closer to the date. Also, your interest in this workshop can encourage the campus administration to provide funds to bring the Op Ed Project back to campus.
