Securing medications, cannabis, and other drugs around the home can help protect children, teens, pets and the entire community. Have a plan for safely storing the meds/drugs in your home.

Methods of Safe Storage

1. Keeping medicine/cannabis/other drugs in a locking pouch, lockbox or other locking container.
2. Counting pills to keep track of how many there are.
3. Keeping medicine/drugs out of sight and out of reach from small children and/or pets.
4. Safely disposing of any unwanted/expired substances at the police station, pharmacy, or a drug take-back event.
