The TensiNet 2019 needs 30+ volunteers to help make the Symposium a success.

Volunteering is a great way to network while getting a behind scenes look at the Symposium. Scheduling volunteers for the event requires a tremendous amount of planning and cooperation. Our team appreciates your willingness to help make this year’s Symposium a huge success, by honoring your shifts, showing up on time, and staying until the job is done!

Want to sign up as a volunteer? (select all that apply)

1. Registration: Registration volunteers are responsible for welcoming attendees and distributing registration materials. Attendees will expect you to have the answer to everything, so familiarize yourself with the Symposium schedules, the Symposium Onsite Guide, website, room locations, etc.

2. Room Monitors: As a session monitor, you will liaise with the speakers to ensure they have all necessary equipment, welcome attendees as they enter the session room, provide a session headcount, and provide evaluation information to attendees. Room monitors are assigned to one room for one day, and may request a certain theme or track to liaise; while POLIMI Coordinators will try to honor all requests, requests are not guaranteed.

3. Hospitality: Hospitality volunteers need to be very familiar with the Symposium schedule; special Field Trip events of Milan, restaurants, and other items that you believe will contribute to an overall positive Symposium experience including information about the Symposium for first-time attendees. Hospitality volunteers will assist with special events and setup throughout the Symposium.

4. Tabling Volunteer: Exhibit hall volunteers are responsible for checking in and assisting exhibitors and encouraging participants to visit the Hall.

5. Traffic Direction Volunteer: Traffic direction volunteers are responsible for giving directions to Symposium attendees at posts throughout the facility. Attendees will expect you to have the answer to everything, so familiarize yourself with the Symposium schedules, the Symposium venue, website, room locations, etc.

6. Exhibition Volunteer: Exhibition volunteers are responsible to assisting POLIMI Coordinators with prototype installation and exhibition.

7. Social Media Volunteer: Social media volunteer are responsible to update and manage all social media outlets that correspond to the symposium.
