Cherished and ROAR Volunteer Mentor Application Form
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete this application form and volunteer your time with us. We value all of our volunteers and recognise their strengths to support our young people.

Please note all of our volunteers must be above the age of 18.

We support young boys (via ROAR) and young girls (via Cherished) at primary and secondary school ages. We pair mentoring relationships based on the same gender.

Volunteer Recruitment Process:

1. Submit application form - this form takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete.
2. Book an interview chat - once we have received your application form, we will email you to book a 30 minute interview slot with our CEO to get to know you a bit more and provide more information about what we do.
3. Next steps - following your interview, we will email you to confirm if you're joining us as a Cherished or ROAR mentor/volunteer and confirm next steps.

Mentor Training and Qualification:
Accredited by: Open College Network West Midlands.
This qualification offers learners the opportunity to undertake a mentoring role in an organisational setting, it will also develop practical mentoring skills to support a role in the voluntary sector, statutory sector or private workplace.

Time Commitment:
- Training sessions will be over a 3 week period and then one hour per week for 12 weeks to conduct a mentoring relationship, which contributes to the mentor qualification.

- Think of 2 references you know well before starting the form and collate their contact details (Name, Email and Phone number). These 2 people would be able to give you a reference and comment upon your suitability for the voluntary work you are applying for.
