NZ Sign Language Learning Subsidy Application
Your child needs to be a registered member of Deaf Children NZ, it's free to join, go to the Join DCNZ page on our website.

The fund is applicable for all family members who live with, or care for, a Deaf or Hard of Hearing child.

This subsidy is available for NZSL Learning that will take place in Term 1 and/or Term 2, 2020.

The maximum value available per family is $1,200 [$600 per term], this includes GST.

Applications close at midnight on Friday, 28 February 2020.

Criteria
NZSL Teacher must be a qualified (or have completed Deaf Studies Certificate or higher at Victoria University or other accredited Tertiary institution).

We recommend courses or private tutition run by a qualified member of the NZ Sign Language Teacher Association (NZSLTA).

We recommend you locate a qualified NZSL Teacher on the Teach Sign website [https://www.teachsign.org.nz/learners/]

The NZSL Teacher is required to complete a Report at the end of each term.  The NZSL Teacher can be paid directly or the family can be reimbursed, up to a maximum value of $600 at the end of Term 1 and/or Term 2 of 2020.
