Greenaction’s Summer 2020 Salinas Valley Youth Environmental & Climate Justice Leadership Academy will start towards the middle of July 16th, 2020 through August 2020. This year’s academy is limited to six youth who are ready to transform into empowered environmental justice activists and community leaders. Youth will participate in virtual zoom online sessions and a few in-person sessions while practicing social distancing and wearing face masks. Youth will also engage in educational social media outreach in Salinas Valley to empower residents who live in areas exposed to pesticides drifting into their neighborhoods. Youth will use their knowledge and skills to educate community members about the dangers of pesticide drift and what they can do about it.

Age Requirement: 13yrs- 18yrs old.

*Must live in Salinas Valley preferability in the City of Gonzales.
