2021-2022 Parent Volunteer Opportunities
Following are a number of opportunities for parents to get involved this year! Please complete by May 1, 2021. Following May 1, Coach Tara will send out emails to each respective area of interest with further direction.

Winter Finale Committee: We will be looking for 2-3 parent volunteers to serve on a support committee this year. Responsibilities will start in the late Fall and the heaviest time commitment will be in February. Responsibilities will include: Kids Clinic Promotion, Winter Finale Concession Stand Coordination and Set Up, and potentially a show-day Team Dinner Organization (unless already handled by our team game day dinner coordinators). We may find we need to enlist further help, but 2-3 volunteers is a good place to start. Are you interested in serving on this committee?

Christmas Part Host/Helpers: We typically have a Christmas Party in December or January. In the past, this has been hosted in a home but our program is growing quite large. We may want to consider holding this elsewhere. We're looking for a few parents to work together on this year's party. Date for the party(ies - if we do split team parties) need to be set by August.

Calendar Helper: The school calendar can be a bit of a moving target with so many sports and activities to coordinate. We typically have a parent or two help keep an eye on the school calendar about once a month to help proactively call out schedule changes. The helper is not responsible for updating the DT team calendar - simply calling out changes to the school calendar they notice to the coaches. This would be about a 1 hour/month commitment.

Car Wash Coordinators: Coordinate summer car washes (dates, locations, hoses, towels, ticket pre-sale process, etc.). This is a fairly simple fundraiser that the girls seem to really enjoy. This is about a 5-10 hour time commitment from now until the end of the summer.

Yard Sign Sales: Our current parent managing this will be graduating from our program after this year. As a result, we need an additional volunteer who would like to apprentice and learn our yard signs sale program in SPRING 2022 then ideally take over moving forward. Responsibilities include collecting order forms and payment + ordering and delivering the signs and riders. After apprenticing, this is a year-round commitment. See Lynne Douglas for specific questions about the role!

Locker Decoration Committee: Work with coach to identify key dates/games to celebrate with locker decorations. Discuss budget with coaches. Coordinate supplies, work sessions, etc. Committee will ideally be made up of multiple parents from each team.

Parent Mixer Coordinator: Parents typically get together a few times a year to get to know each other better. This can be very simple... just needing a few folks to help spearhead the overall goal of building community within our parent group. We've had a few senior parents mention interest in this, so we're looking for a few more to help coordinate.

Junior Parent Liason(s): We have a few items the junior class *typically* manages, including helping with senior night. We need 1-2 point people who can help disseminate information throughout the year. This is not a heavy time commitment role.
