Request to Address the School Board
GUIDELINES FOR CITIZENS AT SCHOOL BOARD MEETINGS:

Thank you for coming to our School Board meeting. All citizens of the school district are given the opportunity to be heard by the school board, within the limits of the law and school board policy 206 and subject to reasonable time, place and manner restrictions. Prior to addressing the school board, please complete the Request to Address the School Board Form. We also ask that you please review and follow the guidelines below to ensure our meeting is conducted in an orderly and efficient manner:

• Comments on issues and public data are welcome, however comments related to individuals will not be allowed. If you wish to comment on issues regarding individual staff members, you are asked to contact the Superintendent’s Office at 651-415-5656 for proper procedures. A School Board meeting is not an accepted forum for discussing personnel concerns.

• For items that are not on the agenda, you will be heard prior to the regular agenda items. The school board chair will invite you to the podium to speak at the appropriate time. You will be allowed three minutes.

• Please note that the school board will not engage in dialogue or respond to any questions during a public address, but may direct the superintendent to respond if necessary. If questions are presented or more information is requested, a member of the Northeast Metro 916 administration will contact you following the meeting.
