Kindergarten Learning Model Interest Survey
The CH-UH City School District is launching surveys to gauge our PreK-12 families' interest regarding in-person learning models for the second semester. These learning models would begin on or after January 18, 2021, pending Board of Education approval. Your answers to this survey will help us better incorporate our families' needs into our planning and are not a commitment to any learning model.
For kindergarten students, we are exploring options for either a hybrid model or a half-day model of learning.
In a hybrid model, kindergarten students would attend school in-person two days per week and learn remotely & asynchronously (independently) two days per week (either Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday) based on last name, with all kindergarten students learning remotely & asynchronously (independently) on Wednesday. A sample schedule is provided later in the survey.
In a half-day model, kindergarten students would be split into 2 groups, Group A and Group B. Group A would include any students needing transportation provided by the district. In the half-day model, students would attend school in-person 4 half days per week. A sample schedule is provided later in the survey.
Please note that you will still have the option of keeping your child(ren) in remote learning, should you wish. However, we cannot guarantee that your child will keep his or her current teacher due to staffing needs.
Thank you for your time and feedback!
