The intent behind this activity is for you to undertake a unique journey through the lens of a specific individual. These might be individuals that you've worked with. These might be individuals in your family. Or they might be individuals that you are completely foreign to. Whatever path unfolds, we encourage you to keep an open-mind and to creatively think about what it might feel like to be these individuals.

And remember that through whatever story unravels, the choice is yours.

Part 1: The Exposure *

To begin your journey, you must first choose an option for your backstory!

Notice how different all of these walks of life are, as you begin to pick the story that you wish to embody.

You're a student, who is excited to start college, meet new friends, and attend as many parties as you can.

You're a parent, who is mentally preparing for your child's first day in college, and you're thinking about all the loans that they're accruing.

You're a tourist from the United States, who has just attended an out-of-country family reunion that you've been avoiding for years.

You're a patient, who has been diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and you're anxious to start the anti-inflammatory medications you've been prescribed.

You're a citizen experiencing houselessness, and you think you've been fortunate enough to find a shelter that will take you in temporarily.
